Ava Gardner was born on Dezember 24, 1922 in Smithfield, N.C., USA. She was an American Herec, known for The Barefoot Contessa (1954), The Night of the Iguana (1964), City on Fire (1978), Ava Gardner's first movie on record is from 1941. Ava Gardner died on Januar 25, 1990 in London. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1985.

Als "barfüßige Gräfin" erreichte Ava Gardner den Höhepunkt ihrer glanzvollen und ungewöhnlich langen Filmkarriere: 45 Jahre stand sie in 72 Filmen vor der Kamera, u.a. mit Burt Lancaster, John Wayne, Richard Burton, Clark Gable, Gregory Peck, Humphrey Bogart ...
