John Derek was born under the given name Derek Delevan Harris on August 12, 1926 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA. He was an American Herec, Režisér, known for Knock on any door (1948), Run for Cover (1954), All the king's men (1950), John Derek's first movie on record is from 1944. He was married to Bo Derek, Linda Evans, Ursula Andress and Pati Behrs. John Derek died on May 22, 1898 in Santa Maria, California, USA. His last motion picture on file dates from 1988.
Zivotopisné poznámky (v němčině): eigentlich Harris Derek, Schauspieler und später Regisseur des amerikanischen Films, in den Vierziger und FĂĽnfziger Jahren mit wenigen Ausnahmen vor allem als Beau in B-Picttures beschäftigt. Zu seinen besten Interpretationen gehören die Rolle des Nick Romano in Nicholas Rays «Knock on Any Door» und Robert Rossens «All the King's Men». Später sprach man von John Derek vor allem als Ehemann von Ursula Andress, Linda Evans und schliesslich Bo Derek, die er in eher belanglosen Inszenierungen zum Sex-Symbol der Achtziger Jahre hochstilisierte.
