Isaak Dunajevskij was born on January 30, 1900 in Lokhvitsa, Poltava. He was a Russian Composer, known for Freundschaft siegt (1952), Veselje rebjata (1934), Cirk (1936), Isaak Dunajevskij's first movie on record is from 1932. Isaak Dunajevskij died on July 25, 1955 in Moskva. His last motion picture on file dates from 1985.
Biographical Notes in German: Sowjetischer Komponist, geboren in der Ukraine, Studium am Konservatorium von Kharkov, dann Leitung des dortigen Theaterorchesters. 1924 nach Moskau, fünf Jahre später nach Leningrad. Durch seine Reisen nach Paris und Berlin lernte Dunajevskij die westliche Musik der Music-Hall und der Cabarets kennen. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach Leningrad Kompositionen mit Anklängen an die Jazzmusik, die der Musik Dunajevskij einen ungewohnten Drive verliehen. Komponierte die Musik zu 13 Operetten. Den Höhepunkt seiner Popularität erreichte Dunajevskij in den Filmen von Grigorij Aleksandrov und Pyrjev, für den er 1954 mit "Испытание верности" eine seiner letzten Filmmusiken vor seinem frühen Tod schrieb. Gerüchte über einen angeblichen Selbstmord Dunajevskijs konnten nie belegt werden, der Komponist starb 1955 an einem Herzinfarkt.
1941 erhielt Dunajevskij den Stalinpreis für seine Musik in "Volga-Volga" und "Tsirk", 1951 für "Kubankosaken". (lhg 2012)
