Mini-Biography:
Allan Dwan was born under the given name Joseph Aloysius Dwan on April 3, 1885 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was an American Director, Author, Producer, known for Flight Nurse (1953), Hollywood Party (1934), The sands of Iwo Jima (1950), Allan Dwan's first movie on record is from 1911. He was married to Marie Shelton and Pauline Bush. Allan Dwan died on December 21, 1981 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA. His last motion picture on file dates from 1967.

(lhg 2002)
