Biographical Notes in German: eigentlich Friedrich Veilchenfeld, Studium an der Universität Berlin, Schauspielunterricht bei Max Reinhardt. Debütierte als Schauspieler bei Reinhardt und war jahrelang auch sein Regieassistent. Erste Filme 1920, In den Zwanziger Jahren auch als Aufnahmeleiter tätig. emigrierte 1929 in die USA. Darsteller charaktervoller Nebenrollen.
