Liane Haid was born on August 16, 1895 in Wien. She was an Austrian Actress, known for Ihre Durchlaucht, die Verkäuferin (1933), Ungeküsst soll man nicht schlafen geh'n (1936), Lucrezia Borgia (1922), Liane Haid's first movie on record is from 1915. Liane Haid died on November 29, 2000 in Bern. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1953.

Ursprünglich Tänzerin, debütierte Liane Haid bereits im frühen Stimmfilme, als Lady Hamilton wurde sie damals zum gefeierten Star. Den Übergang zum Tonfilm, der vielen ihrer Kollegen zum Verhängnis wurde, schaffte sie mühelos. 1942 emigrierte sie in die Schweiz, wo sie in zweiter Ehe mit einem Arzt verheiratet war. 1953 wirkte sie zum letzen Male in einem Film mit.

Liane Haid starb laut Agenturberichten im Alter von 105 Jahren in Bern.
