Lucie Höflich was born on February 20, 1883 in Hannover. She was a German Actress, known for Der Berg ruft (1937), Altes Herz wird wieder jung (1943), Anastasia, die letzte Zarentochter (1956), Lucie Höflich's first movie on record is from 1913. Lucie Höflich died on October 9, 1956 in Berlin. Her last motion picture on file dates from 1956.
Biographical Notes in German: Theater- und Filmschauspielerin im deutschen Film von 1913 bis 1956. Um die Jahrhundertwende spielt sie zahlreiche komischen Rollen auf den zahlreichen Bühnen u.a. von Bromberg, Prag, Nürnberg, Wien und Berlin.

Erste Filmrollen um 1913, sie arbeitet mehrfach unter der Regie von Ludwig Berger (, 1925), der sie nennt. Weitere wichtige Rollen in Stummfilmen spielt sie unter anderem in DIE STRASSE (Regie: Karl Grune, 1923), EIN WALZERTRAUM (Regie: Ludwig Berger, 1925) und TARTÜFF (Regie: Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, 1926). In den Dreissiger Jahren sie spielt u.a. in DER WEISSE DÄMON/RAUSCHGIFT (Regie: Kurt Gerron, 1932) und ROBERT KOCH (Regie: Hans Steinhoff, 1939). Nach 1945 vor allem Theaterrollen, bei Helmut Käutner spielt sie noch 1955 in HIMMEL OHNE STERNE.

Für Ludwig Berger war sie die "genialste deutsche Darstellerin", Herbert Ihering nannte Lucie Höflich "eine der größten Schauspielerinnen aus der Anfangs- und Gipfelzeit Max Reinhardts".
