Synopsis in German
Geheimrat Schlüter (Paul Dahlke), ein Großindustrieller mit jugendlichem Vergnügen an handfesten Streichen, nimmt unter falschem Namen an einem Gewinnspiel seiner eigenen Firma teil. Prompt erzielt er den zweiten Preis: ein Luxusurlaub in einem alpinen Nobelhotel. Um zu erleben, wie man dort weniger gut betuchte Zeitgenossen behandelt, reist der Geheimrat mit einer billigen Pudelmütze, Ohrenschützern und einem abgetragenen Koffer an, begleitet von seinem servilen Diener Johann (Günther Lüders), der in die Rolle eines reichen Reeders schlüpft.
Schlüters Tochter Hilde (Nicole Heesters) behagt dieses Versteckspiel gar nicht. Sie informiert den Hoteldirektor (Hans Olden), provoziert dadurch aber erst recht eine Verwechslung: Fritz Hagedorn (Claus Biederstaedt), ein arbeitsloser Werbefachmann, der als Gewinner des ersten Preises im selben Hotel logiert, wird für den Millionär gehalten und mit einer Suite beehrt. Schlüter dagegen muss mit einer trostlosen Mansarde ohne Heizung vorlieb nehmen. Trotz dieser Klassenunterschiede versteht Hagedorn sich prächtig mit Schlüter, die beiden werden dicke Freunde. Als Hilde anreist und sich in den vermeintlichen Millionär verliebt, ist das Chaos komplett. (3Sat Presse)
