Reviews in German: "Das Bemerkenswerte an diesem Film ist nicht so sehr die Geschichte oder die Inszenierung, sondern der Fakt, dass hier zum ersten (und auch einzigen) Male Asta Nielsen in einem (deutschen) Film spricht. Die Stimme der "stummen Muse" frappiert, sie überrascht, sie wirkt zurückhaltend, zurückgenommen, fast wie eine Erklärung: "Ja, auch ich kann sprechen..." Am Ende des Films sagt ihr Tochter Toni "Ich glaub' sie mag uns alle nicht mehr".
Es wird ihr letzter Film auf deutschem Boden bleiben, im folgenden Jahr übernimmt die Braune Bande in Deutschland die Macht. (lhg 2007)
