Synopsis in German
Ein Steuermann, der stets bekannt war für sein Pflichtbewußtsein, wird durch die verführerische Tänzerin einer schummrigen Hafenkneipe dazu verleitet, seinen Dienst zu vernachlässigen. Er ahnt nicht, daß die Frau zu einer Schmugglerbande gehört. Als er wegen seiner Nachlässigkeit entlassen wird, zieht in die Liebe zu der Frau immer tiefer und tiefer in die Machenschaften ihrer verbrecherischen Freunde hinein, bis er beinahe selbst zum Verbrecher wird. Schließlich gerät er in Verdacht, einen Mann niedergeschlagen zu haben. Aber in letzter Sekunde wird er durch die Selbststellung des wahren Täters gerettet. Geläutert durch diese Erfahrung, beschließt der Steuermann, gemeinsam mit der Tänzerin ein neues, ordentliches Leben zu beginnen. (www.filmportal.de)
