Dann sieht man den gefeierten Komiker, der sich entschließt sich daran zu beteiligen als Belgien besetzt wird, und der seine Mutter tröstet bevor er an die Front geht. Der Film beschreibt auch, wie die Arbeit in dem großen Moment vergessen ist, als alle Männer Frankreichs zur Waffe greifen und sich dem Angriff des Feindes widersetzen.
