Synopsis in German
Der Hirt Kostja Potechin ist ein Tunichgut, Flötenspieler ausserdem. Seine "Karriere" führt ihn bis zur Moskauer Philharmonie, wo er vorgibt, für einen anderen als Dirigent einzuspringen. Doch die Wahrheit kommt ans Licht, und er landet in der Jazzkapelle "Eintracht". Kein geringerer als Maxim Gorki sorgte dafür, dass mit Stalins Einverständnis der Film auf die Leinwand durfte - und ein grosser Erfolg wurde. [Journal Filmfest Braunschweig, 1997]
