Synopsis in German
Ein leichtsinniger Pastorensohn gerät in schlechte Gesellschaft. Um dringende Schulden zu zahlen, greift er in die Kasse seines Vaters. Dieser überrascht ihn dabei und weist in aus dem Haus. In der Großstadt nimmt ihn ein Jugendfreund der Mutter auf und lässt ihn als Musiker ausbilden. Als er in der Tochter eines Freundes die große Liebe findet, schöpft er neuen Lebensmut. Doch als das junge Paar einen Assessor kennen lernt, beginnen die Intrigen. Eifersüchtig auf deren Glück, bezichtigt der Assessor den Rivalen des Falschspiels, und als der Unschuldige sich auf ihn stürzt, wird er aus dem Club geworfen. Nachdem die aufgehetzten Eltern des Mädchens ihn auch abgewiesen haben, tötet er den Gegner in rasender Wut und wird zum Tode verurteilt. Als in der letzten Nacht vor seiner Hinrichtung ein Geistlicher seine Zelle betritt, erkennt er in ihm den eigenen Vater. (www.filmportal.de)
