Synopsis in German
In der Rolle des Feuerwehrmanns erweist sich Charlie nicht unbedingt als der fähigste Mann seiner Truppe. Aber die brennenden Häuser sollen auch gar nicht gerettet werden, denn sie werden absichtlich von Versicherungsbetrügern angesteckt. Die Tochter eines solchen Betrügers ist ausgerechnet die Freundin des Feuerwehrhauptmanns, für den Charlie arbeitet. Er verspricht ihm die Hand seiner Tochter, wenn dieser dafür sein Haus in Flammen steckt, damit er sich die Versicherung auszahlen lassen kann. Doch bei dem inszenierten Brand kommt seine Tochter beinahe ums Leben. Zum Glück ist Charlie gleich zur Stelle: Er wächst über sich hinaus, trotzt todesmutig den Flammen, erweist sich als exzellenter Fassadenkletterer und rettet die junge Frau. (Arte Presse)
