Zu Mariettas zehntem Geburtstag gibt es den üblichen Stoffhund und das war's. Was für ein Reinfall! Doch mit einem Wunschstein aus Afrika erfüllt sich Maretta ihren Herzenswunsch: Ein süßer kleiner Hund kratzt an ihrer Zimmertür. Marietta ist hingerissen von dem neuen Freund und tollt mit ihm durchs Haus. Komisch nur, dass Tobias sich nicht blicken lässt. Noch komischer, dass sich der Hund wie Tobias benimmt. Zu allem Überfluss rückt nun noch Oma Gerda an. Und die ist Putzteufel, Tier- und Kinderschreck in einem und will den Hund loswerden.
