Synopsis in German
John Barra, der für einen Diplomaten arbeitet, wird bezichtigt, wichtige Dokumente gestohlen zu haben. Tatsächlich hat seine Schwester, die im Banne des Artisten Jean Baptiste steht, die Papiere entwendet und Baptiste zugespielt. Barra lauert Baptiste auf und stößt ihm auf einer Brücke einen Dolch in den Rücken. Da sieht er den Detektiv Max Landa herbeieilen und wirft Baptiste ins Wasser. Landa rettet den Schwerverletzten, den er zunächst für einen Selbstmörder hält. Nun schaltet sich der berühmte Detektiv in den Fall ein... (filmportal.de)
