Reviews in German: »Zur Zeit des Abschlusses dieses Berichts macht der Union-Film ROBERT UND BERTRAM volle Häuser. Man hat es sich etwas kosten lassen. Die Freilichtszenen sind in Rothenburg a. d. Tauber aufgenommen. Zu Darstellern hat man sich berühmte Künstler ausgesucht. Eugen Burg spielt den Robert sehr lustig, Ferdinand Bonn den Bertram mit starker Farbgebung, Wilhelm Diegelmann in humorvoller Behäbigkeit den Gefängniswärter Strambach, Ernst Lubitsch geradezu genial den Kommis Max Edelstein. Und dennoch: aus dem Stoff hätte mehr herausgeholt werden können.
