Synopsis in German
Vor 5.300 Jahren in der Jungsteinzeit. Eine Großfamilie lebt friedlich an einem Bach in den Ötztaler Alpen. Ihrem Anführer Kelab (JÜRGEN VOGEL) obliegt es, den heiligen Schrein zu verwahren.
Während Kelab auf der Jagd ist, wird seine Siedlung überfallen und die gesamte Sippe ermordet, darunter auch Kelabs Frau und sein Sohn. Auch das Heiligtum der Gemeinschaft wird geraubt. Getrieben von Schmerz und Wut hat Kelab nur noch ein Ziel – Vergeltung!
Kelab folgt den Spuren der Täter. Auf seiner Odyssee durch das Gebirge ist er den Gefahren der Natur ausgesetzt. Ein tragischer Irrtum macht ihn selbst zum Gejagten. Schließlich steht Kelab nicht nur den Mördern seiner Familie, sondern auch sich selbst gegenüber. Wird er seinem Drang nach Rache nachgeben und selbst vom Opfer zum Täter? Oder gelingt es ihm, den ewigen Kreislauf der Gewalt zu durchbrechen? (Pressetext)
