Synopsis in German
Zwei alleinstehende junge Angestellte, ein Mann und eine Frau, lernen sich bei einem Ausflug nach Coney Island kennen, verlieben sich und verlieren sich in der Menge wieder aus den Augen.
An der Schwelle zur Tonfilmzeit entstand dieser aussergewöhnliche Hollywoodfilm, der an Originalschauplätzen in New York und Coney Island gedreht und nachträglich um drei Dialogszenen erweitert wurde. (www.filmpodium.ch)

Reviews in German: «Es ist eine Liebesgeschichte, die von New York handelt und von der Einsamkeit junger Menschen in der Stadt. Paul Fejos (1897 in Ungarn geboren; Red.) wusste, wovon er sprach. Er war mit 26 Jahren in New York angekommen, konnte anfangs kaum ein Wort Englisch und hatte kein Geld.
