Schwedischer Titel: Zigenarkärlek Remarks and general Information in German: Liebesdrama im Adels- und Zigeunermilieu: Graf Cronschöld verliebt sich in das Zigeunermädchen Roszica und heiratet sie. Aber die Bande des Blutes sind stärker. Roszica zieht wieder ihre Zigeunerkleider an, verläßt den Grafen und kehrt zu ihrer Familie zurück. „Im Banne der Erinnerungen“, auch unter den Titeln „Zigeunerliebe“ und „Die Bande der Vergangenheit“ gelaufen, ist einer der ersten Filme, die Georg af Klercker im Sommer 1915, noch ohne festes Atelier, in Göteborg drehte. Der zeitgenössischen Kritik erschien die Geschichte der Heirat eines schwedischen Adligen mit einer Zigeunerin zwar als „kaum vorstellbar“, sie war aber beeindruckt von den Landschaftsaufnahmen.
