Synopsis in German
Beim Staatssicherheitsdienst der DDR stand das Codewort "Operation Skorpion" für den Auftrag, einen prominenten Fluchthelfer zu liquidieren. Als Wolfgang Stein auch noch zum Menschenrechtskritiker der DDR wird, ist das Maß voll. Ein Spezialagent wird auf ihn angesetzt. Die beiden Männer werden zu Freunden, von denen der eine bedingungslos vertraut. Doch der Andere spielt ein falsches Spiel, steht auf der anderen Seite. Erst wird Steins Ehefrau zu Spitzediensten erpresst. Dann soll ein Giftanschlag Stein endgültig aus dem Weg schaffen. Wider aller medizinischer Prognose überlebt Stein auch diesen Anschlag. Nach dem Fall der Mauer ist die Zeit reif für einen dramatischen Showdown. Die Masken fallen, eine Ehe endet tragisch, die Abrechnung folgt. Ein Thriller vor politischem Hintergrund, ein Drama um Männer-Freundschaft, Treue und Verrat einer Ehe. (wdr Presse)
