Der lakonische Spielfilm aus Rumänien zeigt ein Land im Übergang vom Kopfweh nach der Diktatur zur Zukunft in Europa. Es ist ein philosophischer Krimi über Semantik: In einer packenden Szene lesen Menschen laut aus dem Wörterbuch vor. In vollendeter Bildsprache, mit spritzigen Dialogen und dank dem Realismus der Echtzeit protokolliert der Film kantig eine unsinnige Wirklichkeit in der Stadtwüste Rumäniens.
